Shareholders

We are a public-private partnership with a unique tripartite shareholding structure combining public and private investors:

• The European Investment Bank (EIB) (62.2%)
• The European Union, through the European Commission (30%)
• 23 Financial institutions from European Union Member States, Turkey and Croatia (7.8%).

Our shareholding structure was modified in 2000, when the EIB became the majority shareholder, culminating in the formation of the EIB Group.
