Prêt Participatif Grand Est

  •
    Date: 18 October 2021 - 22 December 2021

EIF Believe In Small Prêt Participatif Grand Est

The Prêt Participatif Grand Est is a new financial instrument we’ve launched in France as a result of the close collaboration between the Région Grand Est and the EIF. It is an important component of the region’s ambitious recovery program known as “Business Act Region Grand-Est” and it aims to mobilise over EUR 250 million of subordinated loans (prêts participatifs) for local entrepreneurs.

This financial instrument is funded by Région Grand Est’s own resources and builds on EIF’s standard model of First Loss Portfolio Guarantee (FLPG) deployed through financial intermediaries. Together with our partners, we are expecting to:

  • generate a significant leverage on the regional resources committed to this initiative;
  • create substantial impact on the market by supporting SMEs, including those impacted by the crisis but still intending to pursue viable projects for their growth;
  • offer preferential credit conditions for Grand Est based entrepreneurs.

Prêt Participatif Grand Est complements other regional programs currently implemented by the EIF in France, such as FOSTER TPE-PME-AGRI with Région Occitanie, la Financière Région Réunion and ALTER’NA with Région Nouvelle Aquitaine.

Against this background, the EIF has published the open call for expression of interest here below and is currently looking to select financial intermediaries that will participate in the implementation of this FLPG instrument.

Who is eligible to become a financial intermediary?

The Call for Expression of Interest addresses financial institutions that are authorised to carry out lending to final recipients established and/or operating in France, in line with the applicable legislation. For the complete set of eligibility and other criteria, please refer to the call documentation below.

How to apply to become a financial intermediary under Prêt Participatif Grand Est?

Following their proof of eligibility, interested applicants may download the Call for Expression of Interest documents as follows:

  • Pret Participatif Grand Est Call for Expression of Interest / Pret Participatif Grand Est Appel à manifestation d’intérêt ouvert (PDF / DOC)
  • Template for the provision of data / Modèle des données quantitatives requises (XLS)

The deadline to submit the duly completed application documents is 22 / 12 / 2021.

Please carefully read in full the details of the eligibility and exclusion criteria before submitting your expression of interest to the EIF.

Questions regarding the Call for Expression of Interest can be submitted here.
